"It was perfect."

One year ago on Sunday,
I went for cake with a handsome boy from Canada. Afterwards, I called my mother and told her he "truly was the nicest boy I have ever met" and "that's the type of boy I want someday."
How, in this big wide world, do people ever find each other?
One week ago on Sunday, this happened.
It was simply the most magical moment.
A dozen roses, a cold one, by a frozen lake, a clear starry-filled, moonlit night and paper lanterns filling the sky-and this man who I admire and love with all my heart.
And although it was more than I have ever dreamed of
and although I was so weak at the knees I could barely stay upright,
the most magical,
most heaven-sent reassurance that we are doing the very thing that is pleasing to Heavenly Father-
was perfect.

I can't think of anything more wonderful.
I know that there is good in each day if we only look and that good things are always, always on their way.

I know He has a plan for each of us.
I am still overwhelmed that He brought that kind, wonderful man to a cake shop and straight to me and at the very time my heart was wide open again.

So, when I'm asked about this event,
I hear myself exclaim, "It was perfect."
My goodness.
Completely perfect.

One word.

How did this girl become so brave?
Around this time last year, she graduated.
And that's that.
Wondered where she'd go-
To find experience. To find love.
To find her best self.
Long story very short,
she tried relying completely on Heavenly Father.
And my dear friends, that's brave.
That's so brave.
And that sort of bravery
comes straight from heaven above.
(There's no doubt about it).
