SANCTUARY

Sometimes you just need a place to go. A place that feels blissful and perfect, even for a few minutes or hours. This sanctuary-full of white lights, blankets, warm soup and darling people-was one sanctuary not to be forgotten for a long while. Find one, cherish it. And then find another.

*A hospital. Especially when life is coming or leaving.
*The beach in the warm sun, looking up at blue sky.
*Sleeping in a tent-listening to loons sing.
*An airplane at night. It's only you and those twinkling, bright stars.
*Boating home as the sun sets after a long day. The air is warm.
*Sleeping over beside the Christmas tree. All together in heaps of blankets and pillows.
*Watching a thunder storm in a dark room of my house. And having popcorn.
